Total Fitness is and on and off-site community based program. We offer participants of all our Whipple court location the opportunity to reach your fitness objectives during the course of your workday. Our program is led by professional fitness and health instructor Megan Yates, who obtained her Bachelors of Exercise Science, from Morehead State University, and Her Masters of Health Promotion from University of Kentucky.
Additionally we offer weekly Yoga class every Tuesday afternoon, led by instructor Teresa Thompson who for over a decade has specialized and taught classes in Adaptive Yoga for persons with disabilities. Her trainings and certifications begin in 1978 and include certification in California with William Webb, (a Kundali yogi and Qabalist), with focus on meditation, pranayama and subtle anatomy, Joe Williams through CSy, the Delsarte or “three Pillars” method, the Cincinnati Yoga School, Teacher Training Program in 2007 under William Brashear and Shashank Lakhia and Astanga Practice under Dean Holt.
Total Fitness participants have the opportunity each day to utilize with or without assistance our on-site state of the art fitness facility, complete with adaptive equipment such as:

Total Fitness also offers the opportunity weekly to take part in on and off site/community outdoor and indoor activities such as:

In addition to making fitness a part of your daily or weekly routine, Total Fitness works collaboratively with our Horticulture department, “Art Gardens” and Culinary Arts Department, “Relish” to teach the necessary skills to independently, grow fresh food, prepare organic, healthy and appetizing meals and snacks and learn how to live a better life through diet and exercise as well as to potentially reduce your cost and reliance on medications and medical bills for diet and mobility related medical issues.
